Certified Yoga Instructor & Nutritionist

MEET EMMA

Emma Flynn is a 500-hour Certified Yoga Instructor (in training), Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), & health writer. What started as a college P.E. credit at age 18 quickly became her anchor & a way home to herself.

After graduation, she spent nearly three years traveling solo across 40+ countries in search of a deeper connection with people, cultures, & her own inner world. Yoga was her constant companion along the way & the reason she kept going. Practicing everywhere—from ashrams in India to yurts in Mongolia to rooftops in Greece—shaped a worldview she didn’t know was possible for herself.

Upon returning to the U.S. in 2019, Emma completed her 200-hour certification in Santa Monica, CA, via YogaWorks, a school known for its precise instruction, alignment-based teaching, & breath-centered flow. She’s currently completing her 300-hour advanced training with Jason Crandell.

Drawing on nearly 15 years of yoga experience, Emma teaches a grounded, conversational-style flow that blends curiosity, alignment, & presence. She believes that it’s not how deeply you go into the pose; it’s who you are when you arrive there.

When she’s not practicing, Emma writes for health & wellness brands & publications. Her work has appeared in Yoga Journal, Yoga International, &supplement brands such as AG1 & Gaia Herbs.

The personal teachers she holds dearest are her Yiayia (late grandmother), Sean (brother), Ben (husband), & Cooper (dog). For yoga, Malachi Grieves, Rod Stryker, & Vinnie Marino. Her most influential dharma teachers include Baba Ram Dass, Thich Nhat Hanh, Jack Kornfield, & a kind, curious Indian man who was astonished when she told him that trains in America leave on time.

Emma is currently based in Bend, Oregon.
